The Berlin project centred around the Perlonex- and Phosphor-musicians Ignaz Schick and Burkhard Beins is exploring the contrasts, parallels and transitions between acoustically played sounds and their electronic or electro-acoustic transformation. Together with the Dutch saxophonist Thomas Ankersmit and the Tasmanian double-bass player Clayton Thomas the two are playing as an "acoustic" trio or quartet, which becomes confronted with a live-remix version of an invited electronics or electro-acoustics musician based entirely on the formerly played group material. Throughout the further course of the musical process the original and it's remix-version will merge into something third. A collaboration with the Sicilian reel-to-reel manipulator Valerio Tricoli has already proven to be especially fruitful.
Das Berliner Projekt um die Perlonex- und Phosphormusiker Ignaz Schick und Burkhard Beins konzentriert sich auf Kontraste, Parallelen und Übergänge zwischen akustisch gespielten Klängen und ihren elektronischen bzw. elektro-akustischen Transformationen. Gemeinsam mit dem dem holländischen Saxophonisten Thomas Ankersmit und dem tasmanischen Kontrabassisten Clayton Thomas spielen die Beiden als "akustisches" Trio oder Quartett, dem dann eine auf dem soeben Gehörten basierende Live-Remix-Version eines zusätzlich eingeladenen Elektronikers oder Elektro-Akustikers gegenübergestellt wird. Im weiteren Verlauf eines BSC-Konzerts wird dann das musikalische Material von Original und Remix-Version gemeinsam zu einem neuen Dritten verschmolzen. Als besonders fruchtbar erwies sich hierbei bereits die Zusammenarbeit mit dem sizilianischen Tonbandmanipulator Valerio Tricoli.
